St George Illawarra were downright embarrassing last week. The Dragons went down 56-6 to the Dolphins in a score that arguably flattered the Dragons with the Phins putting the cue in the rack in the last 20 minutes.

Those kind of humiliating defeats though usually inspire a much-greater effort the following week. Teams off a loss of 50 or more cove at 69% since 2008. Teams off conceding at least 56 cover at 70%. Humiliation is a strong motivator.

Shane Flanagan is also known as a harsh taskmaster and won’t cop a loss like this well. The Dragons are known as a strong rebound team so they should be up for this.
