Canterbury are not being afforded a great deal of respect in this one, being handed a start of 11.5 points despite being unbeaten through three weeks.
The Bulldogs certainly looked a lot more clumsy with the ball last week with Matt Burton and Viliame Kikau missing but there is no disputing their defensive commitment.
Cronulla have won their last two convincingly but there have been big concerns about the Sharks losing focus and taking their foot off the pedal in parts of the match.
The Sharks have a great recent record against the Bulldogs with 12 wins in the last 15 clashes but Canterbury did win their last clash and this is a nice spot for the Bulldogs. Canterbury are 8-2 ATS getting double digits while they have covered four of five off conceding eight or fewer.
In what projects as a low-scoring affair, the plus looks a very good play.
Same Game Multi
Briton Nikora has scored in all three games this year and has now scored in 11 of his last 17 games.
Blake Wilson has 12 tries in 24 games and has crossed twice already this season.
Value Bet
Jacob Preston is a very handy tryscorer who is now being used as an 80-minute player. He runs edge lines well and he is a quality support player. With 13 tries in 41 games he looks a nice bet to cross this week.
