Teams may say they have rivalries, but none have the genuine animosity, hatred, and disdain that exist between the Sydney Roosters and the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

That rivalry has certainly heated up again this year with the Roosters politicking to keep the Rabbitohs out of Allianz Stadium while Souths have accused the Roosters of invading their junior territory. There is no love lost between Souths CEO Blake Solly and Roosters boss Nick Politis.

It is astonishing the efforts South Sydney are going to in this one with their season long gone. Cameron Murray is set to play his first and only game of the season. Keaon Koloamtangi, Cody Walker, and Euan Aitken all could have put their seasons to bed with late-season injuries but all fought their way back with one goal in mind: stop the Roosters from playing finals football.

This is a nice spot for Souths.
