The Sydney Roosters have found some rhythm the last two weeks with two big wins over Manly and Cronulla. They still are dropping way too much ball though and playing with far too little discipline to trust as a double digit favourite.
The Roosters have gone back-to-back but they are a poor 11-14 against the spread when off a win of 13 or more.
The Knights play their best football in the afternoon with a 28-14 cover record in day games. They have covered eight of 13 as a double digit underdog.
Dylan Brown returns for Newcastle and Justin Holbrook knows the Roosters intimately so this should be far closer than betting suggests.

Daniel Tupou is the fourth greatest tryscorer of all-time who has 10 tries in his last nine games against the Knights.
Dominic Young has 82 tries in 98 games and is arguably the premier finisher in the NRL.
Fletcher Sharpe is an elite mover with 24 tries in 30 games.
Value Bet
Thomas Cant wins a starting spot this week for the Knights and will play on the left edge with Dylan Lucas out. That puts him in an elite tryscoring position with Lucas often used. Cant has yet to score in 26 top grade games but has 10 in his last 21 NSW Cup games so knows his way over the line. Nice value try bet.
