The Tigers are a wholly unreliable proposition who at their worst are the clear bottom team in the competition – but they are in a very good spot to show up against the Raiders this week.

Benji Marshall’s team copped a stroke of good fortune when Adam Doueihi escaped suspension, freeing him to play in this one.

The Raiders are not so fortunate with star Hudson Young out for the year and Owen Pattie now out for two weeks. The Raiders win rate drop 26 percentage points when Young is out while the recent run of Canberra form came about when Pattie was elevated to the starting team.

When two teams 12th or worse meet and there is a double digit favourite, that favourite covers at a poor 17%. Canberra have covered just four of 12 at home and 10 of 30 against bottom six teams.
