Best Bet
Manly are a sensational bet getting a big start in a must-win game against a team not playing anywhere near their best football.
The Raiders are first on the ladder and only had a nine-game losing streak ended last week but their form ha bee patchy since their first bye in Round 15. They had three one-score wins over teams well outside of finals calculations before being run close and getting away late against the Eels and Knights. A long overdue loss hit against the Dragons.
Manly have won and covered 11 of their last 15 against Canberra and can add to that record here. The Sea Eagles are an elite rebound team, covering 13 of 17 off a loss and 11 of 13 off a double digit defeat. They have covered seven of nine getting 6.5 or more.
The Raiders have not covered a night game since Round 13. All in Manly.
Same Game Multi
Jed Stuart has been a solid finisher with four tries in six games and Jason Saab is a defensive liability.
Tom Trbojevic has scored more against Canberra than any other club with 15 in 12 games.
Tolutau Koula is one of the leading tryscorers this season with 13 tries in his last 16 games.
Value Bet
Manly’s forwards have lacked punch this season but one person who is not guilty of that is Ethan Bullemor. Bullemor as been one of Manly’s best this year. He is also having a relatively strong tryscoring season with three tries – with two of those coming against Canberra. He is worth a ticket at big odds.
