Penrith face a difficult task this week trying to cover a start of 11.5 points on the road without star halfback Nathan Cleary.
Cleary suffered a headknock early in the Storm clash and will join champion custodian Dylan Edwards on the sideline.
Laying 11.5 points is a big ask without their two best players, despite their strong recent record over Souths where they have covered six of the last seven meetings.
Home underdogs of four or more in the opening four rounds cover at 66% while Souths are 5-1 ATS at Accor and 8-5 ATS at the venue when an underdog. It is also noteworthy that Souths have covered all three games this season and they do get Alex Johnston back from a long-term injury.
Penrith perform well off a loss but this line is just far too big given their outs.
