NRL Tips – Penrith v Brisbane – Round 3 2024

Round 3 opens with a rematch of last year’s Grand Final but two key injuries to Brisbane make this one of the biggest mismatches of the week.

Best Bet

Penrith -10.5
Line

The Grand Final rematch has taken somewhat of a hit with Brisbane ruling out Adam Reynolds and Payne Haas from this clash. Haas is arguably the best prop in the game while Reynolds is central to unleashing the talented Broncos outside backs.

It is hard to see such an undermanned Broncos team getting close to the Panthers.

Penrith are near unstoppable at home. The Panthers are 22-10 against the spread at Bluebet and have covered 17 of 25 when favoured at the venue by more than a converted try.

The Panthers are also an outstanding team off a bad defensive showing, covering 77% of games off conceding 18-plus.

With the Panthers holding the mental edge of last year’s Grand Final comeback win, the Panthers are the play laying the big number.

Taylan May Try/Dylan Edwards Try
Same Game Multi

Taylan May is an elite tryscorer who led Penrith’s tally in 2022 and has looked good in two games at centre.

Dylan Edwards has an excellent tryscoring record when the Panthers are heavily favoured and comes off a try last week.

Value Bet

Moses Leota
To Score A Try

Moses Leota got it done for us last week and we are back to the well. He is not a renowned tryscorer but he is changing that with eight tries in his last 70 games. Brisbane have conceded six tries this year and five have come through the middle so that puts Leota in a great spot.
