There have been three things that have been very true for Penrith this year. Firstly, they standout as the best team in the competition. Secondly, they are wildly overrated by the market at night. Thirdly, they do not cover big lines.

Penrith lead the NRL in scoring and in defence, the latter by a long way, and that has played into the market tending to overrate them in certain spots.

The Panthers have covered just two of their last 10 night games while they have covered just two of their last 10 when a double digit favourite. Penrith have managed to cover just once from their last six games against teams outside the Top 8.

Canberra have covered five of seven as a double digit underdog while they are 6-3 ATS against Top 2 teams. The Raiders have covered 10 of 13 off scoring at least 30.
