The Grand Final rematch shapes as an incredible affair and Souths are not without hope even with Nathan Cleary returning.

South Sydney were desperately unlucky not to take last year’s Grand Final over Penrith and certainly come into this rematch with more motivation. That only goes so far but this team has improved a lot over their last 120 minutes of football and look to be undervalued in this.
Penrith are hard to play against in this spot with Nathan Cleary returning. Penrith have covered 10 of their last 13 when favoured by 6.5 or more at Penrith Stadium. They are missing plenty of talent though with James Fisher-Harris and Liam Martin unlikely to return.
Souths though have covered 9 of 12 as an underdog and have covered 21 of 34 off a win of 10-plus points. Underdogs of 6.5 or bigger off a cover make the nut the next game at a rate of 61%.
The Rabbitohs have covered 8 of 12 against the Panthers and can improve on that record Friday night.
