Penrith have won four premierships in the last five seasons and have dropped just a single game this year. They are the best defensive team by some way while they rank second in scoring.

St George Illawarra are winless. They have the worst attack in the NRL having not scored more than 20 all year. They have the second worst defence.

If the Panthers are switched on, they could legitimately put 70 on the Dragons, who have covered just one of their last 10. The concern is that Penrith often don’t have that ruthlessness in these games, having covered just three of nine when favoured by 24-plus.

The one reliable angle here is that the Panthers won’t concede points and the Dragons are incapable of scoring. So bet the Dragons team total under as the most reliable play in this one.
