After a stunning start to the season in Las Vegas, the remainder of Round 1 kicks off with two finalists from last year squaring off as the Knights host the Raiders.
Best Bet
Canberra are a red-hot chance of winning the wooden spoon this year but even with a bleak year ahead and two starters suspended for this clash, they are an excellent bet getting a huge start.
It is great practice to bet big underdogs in Round 1 and the Raiders fit that getting 7.5 points in Round 1 against a Knights team that are dreadfully overrated.
Round 1 dogs of more than six points cover at 68% so the Raiders are an auto-bet.
It is also notable that the underdog has covered eight straight in this matchup.
Everyone knows Ricky Stuart has no understanding of how to get a team peaking at different times but that manifests itself positively in Round 1 with the Raiders 9-1 ATS the last 10 years in opening week clashes.
With Canberra covering eight of 11 as a road underdog, they look a super bet.
Same Game Multi
Greg Marzhew had a stunning debut season with the Knights, scoring 22 tries in 22 games including four tries in the three clashes with the Raiders.
Matt Timoko comes off his best tryscoring season, crossing 11 times in 2023.
Value Bet
Hudson Young rates among the elite tryscoring backrowers in the NRL with 23 tries in 48 games across the last two seasons. He has historically filled up against the Knights, crossing four times in his last six matches against them. He likely matches up against the inexperienced Dylan Lucas.
