New Zealand look to find their first win of the season in Christchurch on Friday night but it will not come easy against a Raiders team flying off back-to-back wins.
Best Bet
The Warriors are heavily favoured to beat the Raiders in Christchurch but it would take a game bettor to take lower than $1.40 or to lay 7.5 points.
New Zealand have covered just 3 of 11 when favoured by more than six points and are an awful 7-16 ATS off conceding 30-plus. The lack of CNK cannot be overstated either. The Warriors are 6-11 ATS without him and 9-3 ATS when he does play.
While the plus looks a bet, the under is the top play. The under has hit in six of the last nine meetings and there are some big under angles here.
The under hits at over 75% the last three seasons when a team is off conceding 18-plus in the first four rounds while it is a 62% proposition when a team is off a win in the opening four weeks.
This number is unlikely to start at 42.5 so jump on early.
Same Game Multi
Xavier Savage has scored six tries in his lat seven games and the flyer gets a plus-matchup against Dallin Watene-Zelezniak.
Rocco Berry is not a renowned tryscorer with just six tries in 34 games but he is on a sharp trajectory and can score against the Raiders.
Value Bet
It has to be believed that Ricky Stuart is just being Ricky Stuart in dropping Zac Hosking to the bench and common sense will prevail before kickoff with Hosking starting. He has been elite in the first two weeks, adding to his monster workload with a try and a try assist in each game. Assuming he starts, he is value to cross again.
