Manly received a boon at the judiciary when Daly Cherry-Evans was cleared to play and that has the Sea Eagles primed for a big home win against the castrated Raiders.
Best Bet
Canberra are really going to struggle to compete with Manly this week. The Sea Eagles can run in a score. The Raiders are going to struggle to get any points.
The Raiders looked completely inept last week, their first without Jamal Fogarty. It is unlikely to improve this week with the same halves and hooker. The only change to the spine is Albert Hopoate replacing Chevvy Stewart at fullback. Hopoate has just three career try assists in 36 games and is unlikely to provide much more creativity.
Manly have scored 21-plus in seven of their last eight and topped 32 in three of their last four. The Raiders are just not going to be able to go with the Sea Eagles.
Manly have covered nine of 12 against Canberra. They have covered five of six at Brookvale. They are 10-4 against the spread off a win of 10 or more points. They have covered 19 of 31 off scoring 30-plus.
Expect the Sea Eagles to run rampant here.
Same Game Multi
Tom Trbojevic scores at better than a try a game over the last four seasons and is in a great spot with the Sea Eagles so heavily favoured.
Daly Cherry-Evans has crossed four times this season and is one of the best support players in the NRL.
Value Bet
Jason Saab has an insanely strong record when Manly are short in betting. When the Sea Eagles are $1.30 or shorter, Jason Saab has scored 18 tries in the 12 games he has played. On six occasions he has scored a double or better. The Sea Eagles winger also matches up with poor defensive player Xavier Savage.
