We are very much at the crossroads early in the season with both the Eels and Titans in the bottom four and very much in need of a result in this one.

The Eels have won twice but have had 48-plus put on them twice and come off a heart-breaking loss. No team has a bigger injury toll with their backline, in particular, decimated.

The Titans have only rolled the winless Dragons and will be desperate to build some momentum against the down-and-out Eels.

Expect that to result in a defensive struggle with the under looking a very good bet.

Both teams are in strong under spots.

The under is 21-11 when the Eels play at CommBank with a 9-3 under record at the ground when Parramatta are favoured.

The under is also 20-14 when the Titans are off a double digit loss and 15-9 when they are an outsider interstate.

Parramatta will likely be very flat after last week’s loss and on a short week seem incredibly vulnerable, particularly with a 19-25 cover record off a loss.

Phillip Sami is one of Gold Coast’s all-time leading tryscorers with 72 in 147 games including six in 11 matches against the Eels.

Beau Fermor has yet to cross this season but has 10 or more tries in two of his last three seasons.
