It has been a stop start season for the Roosters but they can make a real statement against an Eels team reeling from a hammering at the hands of the Bulldogs.
Trent Robinson has mercifully dropped swinging gate Paul Momirovski and off a loss in a game against the Storm they arguably should have won, the Roosters look the play this week.
The Roosters have certainly had the best of the Eels in recent years even when both teams have been at the top of the table. The Roosters have won six of seven against the Eels and covered 13 of 17. Trent Robinson’s team has scored 28-plus in 8 of 12 against the Eels.
Parramatta were embarrassing against Canterbury last week and another mid-season fade hangs heavy over the club. The Eels aren’t all that adept at handling pressure and have covered just five of 14 when favoured at CommBank.
The Chooks have covered 19 of 31 off a loss and that is enough here.
