NRL Tips – Cronulla v Canberra – Round 4 2024

Sharks vs Raiders - NRL Tips

An injury-ravaged Cronulla host a Canberra team that has performed better than most expected but will be confident of collecting the two points.

Best Bet

Cronulla -4
Line

Cronulla shape as one of the better bets of the week laying a small number against Canberra.

The Sharks are short on forwards with Briton Nikora, Toby Rudolf, Dale Finucane and Royce Hunt all missing but the Sharks should still have too much class for the Raiders.

The Sharks have covered 14 of 23 at Shark Park and are particularly strong when favoured by more than four, covering 10 of 15.

Cronulla are a strong bounceback team too with the Sharks 6-2 against the spread off a loss of 20-plus and 5-1 against the number off scoring 10 or fewer.

Canberra are not great travellers and now face a difficult test where scoring is going to prove incredibly difficult with the lack of creativity in their spine.

Ronaldo Mulitalo Try/Sione Katoa Try
Same Game Multi

Ronaldo Mulitalo is an elite tryscorer and has thrived against Canberra, with seven tries in his last nine games against the Raiders.

Sione Katoa has scored 60 tries in 92 games and has five in nine against the Raiders.

Value Bet

Siosifa Talakai
To Score A Try

Siosifa Talakai is not a revered tryscorer but he is in a good spot here moving back to the backrow. The strong assist merchant will be used more as a front line hole runner and with his size and feet, can get across against Canberra.
