The Cowboys and Tigers have played some loose and strange games lately with the last six all topping 48.

There was the controversial after-the-sire penalty that gifted the Cowboys a win in 2022. A year later the Tigers recorded one of their biggest ever wins when downing the Cowboys 66-18 at Leichhardt. Six weeks later, the Cowboys returned serve with a 74-0 demolition. Both games last year saw the Tigers score 28 and 30 and lose by 13-plus in each.

It is hard not to want to be with the Cowboys this week – particularly given the off-field dramas at the Tigers that has seen Lachlan Galvin leave.

The Cowboys have topped 42 in their last three against the Tigers while they have won three straight at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

This is a super spot for the Cowboys. They are 12-5 ATS off a loss of 13 or more and have covered five of seven when favoured.

The Tigers have covered just one of five against Top 8 opposition while they are 2-4 ATS off a bye.

Look for the Cowboys to run riot.

Jeremiah Nanai has an incredible record against the Tigers with nine tries in seven games.

Jaxon Purdue has eight tries this year and can continue scoring even with his shift into the halves.

Value Bet

Tom Dearden
To Score A Try

Tom Dearden is a sneaky-type of No.6 who can find his way over the line. He loves playing the Tigers with four tries in seven meetings. He now has 34 tries in 92 games since joining the Cowboys.
