NRL Tips – Cowboys v Raiders – Round 2 2022

NRL Betting Tips

North Queensland were embarrassed in their season opener but can best a Covid-stricken Canberra team.

Best Bet

North Queensland +4.5 ($1.90)

As a big early-season home underdog, North Queensland have to be the play against Canberra, particularly with the Raiders losing their halfback to Covid and some concern that he may not be the last to go down.

Home underdogs in the first four rounds of the year are 54-28 against the spread including hitting in both instances in Round 1.

Canberra have lost Josh Hodgson as well as Brad Schneider and they are an awful 4-11 against the number as a favourite away from the capital. The value is unquestionably with the home team.

Same Game Multi

Reece Robson Try/Jack Wighton Try ($10.75)

Reece Robson has a pretty good tryscoring record for a hooker with 11 tries in 39 games for the Cowboys. He loves a dart so will give himself opportunities.

Wighton showed plenty of intent in running the ball in Round 1, scoring a try. He has 65 tries in 200 games and has seven tries in 13 games against the Cowboys.

Value Bet

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow First Try ($14.00)

The Cowboys fullback strikes at 50% on a very bad team, scoring 14 tries in 28 games despite playing in just six wins. He has scored in three of his last five starts at fullback.
