This game has been decimated by Penrith’s decision to rest 13 players with a clash between two Top 4 teams set to be a one-goer in favour of the Cowboys.
Best Bet
Penrith are resting 13 players in this game and that is about as much of the story as needs to be told. Mitch Kennny will captain a team with seven players either debuting or with fewer than 10 first grade games.
North Queensland are likely to finish third but will be looking to roll into the finals with a fair bit of momentum so it stands to reason they may look to run up a score.
Numbers can probably be disregarded in this one but one that is worth noting is that the Cowboys have covered five of six as a double digit favourite this year. They put bad teams to the sword and this is a bad team they are against.
The Cowboys should do this in a canter.
Same Game Multi
Murray Taulagi has 14 tries in 22 games and has scored in each of his last three matches.
Jeremiah Nanai has 17 tries this season, an incredible return for an edge forward.
Valentine Holmes does not score a lot of tries but gets a great matchup against a second-string Panthers side.
Value Bet
Reece Robson is a handy tryscorer for a hooker. He has 17 tries in 61 games the last three seasons. Against a second-string Panthers team, Robson is a good value play to cross.
