Canterbury are being given little chance against the Sydney Roosters but as a big home underdog, they look an exceptional bet getting a big start.
Best Bet
Canterbury are far from an attractive team but they are one hot bet this week getting 10.5 points at home.
Early-season home underdogs of note are always a blind bet. Those getting more than four cover at 64%. Getting 10.5 points is a big number but with the wild weather expected in Sydney over the weekend, it seems astronomical.
The Bulldogs have covered four of six getting a double digit start and four of five getting a start of eight points at Accor.
The Roosters are poor favourites, covering just 7 of 20, while they have covered just one of four at Accor. Most critically though, road favourites of eight or more off a loss cover at just 33%.
The plus is a sensational play here.
Same Game Multi
Daniel Tupou has nine tries in his last 12 games against Canterbury and the Bulldogs have been worst defensively down their right side.
Jacob Kiraz has 13 tries in 39 games and is just over the odds this week.
Value Bet
Josh Curran has spent most of his career coming off the bench but when he has started on an edge he has proven a very good tryscorer. In 24 NRL starts in the second row, Curran has eight tries. He runs hard, he runs good lines and will be well suited to wet conditions.
