Canterbury have been battered from pilllar to post this week and if they are ever going to lift it will be this week.
Best Bet
Canterbury +13.5 ($1.90)
This is not a straightforward betting game. The Bulldogs are in freefall again with Trent Barrett all but certain to be on his death march now after Phi Gould took over a training session this week. Josh Jackson is also set to moss through Covid. The Roosters come off an other disappointing loss and have now failed to cover all four games they were favoured by double digits.
Road favourites this year are an awful 4-7 against the spread when favoured by at least six.
The Roosters are poor at Accor covering just 1 of 8 at the ground. They have covered just six of 17 away from the SCG.
The Bulldogs have covered just three of 16 off a loss of 20-plus so are hardly reliable but with the big number are the bet.

Same Game Multi
Canterbury +18.5/Kevin Naiqama Try/Joseph Manu Try ($7.25)
The Bulldogs should really be able to keep the Roosters within roaring distance.
Naiqama has scored two tries in three appearances since returning to the NRL.
Manu has six tries in his last five appearances.
Value Bet
Sitili Tupouniua Try ($3.20)
Sitili Tupouniua has scored four tries already this season and is exactly the player that causes Canterbury fits. The Bulldogs have conceded 11 tries to forwards in the last four weeks and Tupouniua has scored more tries than all forwards bar David Fifita since the start of last year.
