Canterbury are playing a more open style under Mick Potter and that should lead to the overs lobbing against South Sydney.
Best Bet
Canterbury have been a very different team under Mick Potter than they were under Trent Barrett. Four of the six games have topped 48 points while all bar a flood game against the Sharks have tallied 38. The Bulldogs have scored at least 22 points in four of the six.
That brings the over right into this with Souths such a free-wheeling team that has topped 30-plus in four of their last five.
The over is 7-1 when Souths are off a win and 9-1 when they are off conceding 28-plus.
With a positive weather forecast, the number in this one looks far too low.
Same Game Multi
Alex Johnston is the most pure tryscorer in the NRL with 152 tries in 181 games including 16 in 15 this year. He has scored at least two tries in three of his last four games. In 15 games against Canterbury, he has 13 tries including doubles in the last two.
Josh Addo-Carr loves playing Souths with 14 tries in 11 games including scoring six in a match in mid-2021. He has 11 tries in his last 10 games.
Value Bet
Aaron Schoupp is not a renowned tryscorer but was given very little chance under Trent Barrett. Since Mick Potter has taken the healm, Schoupp has scored three tries in six matches.
