This is the hardest match of Round 22 to get a grip on. Brisbane’s season all but ended in a whimper last week when a meek Broncos outift went down to the Cowboys. Newcastle are gripping on to an unlikely finals spot but have had their chances castrated by some major injuries, notably Dylan Lucas and Dylan Brown.

It is hard to cop Brisbane at such a short quote, even with their health advantage.

The Broncos cover at just 45% when playing at Suncorp. That drops to 43% when they are favoured by four at the ground. They have covered just two of their last eight against Top 8 opposition.

Newcastle are 31-18 ATS against teams outside the Top 8 while they are 14-8 ATS interstate.

The smart money will be with Newcastle.
