The NRL season is just around the corner and Betseeker has all the best futures plays season 2025.
Best Bet
This bet looks about as good a thing as you will find in pre-season futures anywhere. Melbourne have no challengers in this. They enter the season as the best team in the premiership with the Storm and the Panthers miles ahead of the next best team. The next best team most certainly is not Brisbane, who are third in premiership betting. The Storm are typically good for at least 16 wins and this year look set for more. The Storm will win this and it will not be close.
Next Best
North Queensland are headed for a sharp fall this year and it would not shock to see them fall as far down as last spot. The Cowboys lost a ton of talent and have two of their remaining best 17 sidelined with season-long injuries. The club is without a halfback and it would not surprise if it all came to a head with Todd Payten this year.
Next Best
The Dolphins should have made the finals last year and even following the departure of Wayne Bennett, can play in their inaugural playoffs. The Dolphins get Tom Gilbert back from injury this year and he gives the Dolphins one of the best packs in the game, one that is mobile and tough. The three-quarter line is all class and The Hammer is an elite fullback. If they can get competent halves play, this team can finish in the Top 4.
Next Best
The traders who have put the Broncos on the third line of premiership betting have rocks in their heads. The Broncos missed the Top 8 last year and their only notable recruit was Ben Hunt, who turns 35 this year. He will be in a spine that also contains the now injury-prone Adam Reynolds, who also turns 35. Their best half, Ezra Mam, is suspended for nine weeks. Their bench is perhaps the worst in the comp with the club having no depth. With a difficult draw, it is wise to lay the Broncos and lay them a lot.
Value Bet
The Storm and the Panthers are far and away the two best teams again in the premiership but a few indicators point to Melbourne finishing top of the regular season again. Melbourne have improved their roster while Penrith’s has arguably gone backwards. The Panthers are at a point where they are happy to not fight overly hard for the minor premiership. Penrith have a tough start to the year including a trip to Vegas and have no home ground this season. Very keen on the Storm to do what they do best and that is win a lot of regular season games.
Value Bet
The price for the Dolphins to be the best Queensland team is borderline insane. The Broncos are ridiculously overrated and are every chance to miss the Top 8. The Cowboys are a team well and truly on the down. The Titans have not had a winning record since 2010. This is a truly remarkable 10-1 shot.
