Denver can be one of the big improvers this season and they get a favourable matchup when Tennessee come to play in Week 1.
Best Bet
As we touched on in our AFC West Preview, there is plenty of optimism around Denver this season, Sean Payton’s third as head coach.
While their playoff loss to the Bills showed the gulf in class between the Broncos and the absolute top teams in the AFC, a playoff appearance in Bo Nix’s debut season as quarterback was a positive sign.
While things are looking up in Denver, Tennessee need to improve drastically this season to even be competitive. They were 3-14 last season, and remarkably even worse against the number, going 2-15.
While there are signs of optimism in Tennessee with Cam Ward at quarterback behind what should be an improved offensive line, it’s an incredibly difficult assignment to go into Mile High on debut against what will be a very good defence.
Despite the big line, the Broncos are a clear and obvious bet in this one.
Same Game Multi
I think that Cam Ward is really going to struggle here on debut, and should go under his passing yards line. Conversely, Nix won’t have to do too much as Denver can lean on their strong running game to get the job done.
Value Bet
Nix is an underrated runner and scored four touchdowns with his legs last season, as well as a trick play where he caught one. He is excellent value to score here.
