Best Bet
Houston have won nine straight games entering the playoffs and should be too good for a Pittsburgh team that is only in the playoffs by virtue of winning the pitiful AFC North.
The Texans defence is clearly the top unit in this game. They rank first for yards, second for points, and until they rested starters in Week 18 had only allowed more than 21 points once in eleven weeks.
Pittsburgh’s offence has been sclerotic all year. They have looked better when able to run the ball, but the Texans have been strong in that department, allowing just 4.0 yards per carry all season.
Aaron Rodgers was able to have some success passing the ball last week against the Ravens banged up secondary – but the Texans are a very different proposition.
Houston’s offence has struggled to overcome poor offensive line play all season, but they have improved as the year has gone on. What they have done particularly well is minimise turnovers, with only three in their last eight games.
If they maintain that, they will put up enough points to win this game against a middle of the road Steelers defence.

Running back Kenneth Gainwell has emerged as Rodgers favourite checkdown option. He will be getting the ball out quickly so if he can get a couple of missed tackles, this line is highly attainable.
Nico Collins has averaged more than 80 yards in his last ten and his being rested last week was a statement of intent.
Value Bet
Stroud ran a score in last week and in what is a win or go home situation, it wouldn’t surprise if the Texans used his legs in the red zone again.
