Times are getting dangerously desperate in New York at the moment with the winless Jets holding the worst record in the NFL and calls for new coach Aaron Glenn to be sent packing.
There has been little to like about the Jets. The play calling has been uber conservative. The discipline has been poor. There are clear talent issues.
The darkness of this situation makes them a play though against a Panthers team that has found some confidence but is still one of the worst in the NFL.

Justin Fields has rushed at least seven times in four of his five games this year and will rely on his legs more than his arm in this one.
Mason Taylor has topped 65 yards in two of his last three and will be the feature target this week.

The Jets throw the ball successfully less than any other team. That is not a big surprise with Justin Fields at quarterback. Main target Garrett Wilson is also sidelined this week with a hyper-extended knee. The next top target for Fields has been rookie tight end Mason Taylor, who has 29 targets this year. The former LSU star will be fed and fed and fed against the Panthers.
