NFL Tips – Packers @ Eagles – Wild Card Weekend 2025

The Philadelphia Eagles go in as favourites when they host the Green Bay Packers on Wild Card Weekend.

Best Bet

Philadelphia -4.5
Line

The Eagles are a legitimate Super Bowl contender and should comfortably handle the Packers in this Wild Card matchup.

These teams met in Week 1 – with the Eagles winning 34-29 – but the relevance of that game played in Brazil is highly dubious.

Since then, the Eagles outstanding offensive line has propelled Saquon Barkley to a 2000 yard season, while Vic Fangio’s defence has recovered from early season struggles to become one of the top units in the league – allowing a mere 174 pass yards per game.

Following their Week 5 bye, the Eagles won twelve of thirteen games, with the only loss being with Kenny Pickett under centre. Their formula of an outstanding run game and elite defence is made for the playoffs.

The Packers enter this game off consecutive losses, and while quarterback Jordan Love is off the injury report the loss of dynamic receiver Christian Watson is enormous, particularly against the Eagles vaunted secondary.

Chips in the Eagles here.

Same Game Multi

Eagles -4.5, Barkley 100+ Rushing Yards, Jacobs 60+ Rushing Yards, Hurts 30+ Rushing Yards

Saquon Barkley is coming off a 2000 yard season and there is no reason why the Eagles would not lean on their biggest strength here. Nevertheless it is a playoff game so expect to see more involvement from Jalen Hurts in the running game.

Given the Eagles strength against the pass the Packers will rely heavily on Josh Jacobs, even though the game script may not suit.

Value Bet

Jalen Hurts
To Score First Touchdown

Hurts actually has more rushing touchdowns on the season than Barkley, with most of these coming from goal line situations in which he excels.
