NFL Tips – New England Patriots @ Arizona Cardinals – Week 14 2022

Bill Belichick - NFL Tips

The Cardinals are in the midst of a dismal season and things won’t get better against the visiting Patriots.

Best Bet

Patriots -2
Line

Cardinals owner Michael Bidwell must be truly regretting extending the contracts of quarterback Kyler Murray, head coach Kliff Kingsbury and GM Steve Keim in the offseason.

That vote of confidence has been met with a 4-8 record, and they are even worse at home, being a pathetic 1-4 at State Farm Stadium this season.

There is no part of the Cards game that is in good shape. They rank 30th in overall DVOA per Football Outsiders, ahead only of the Colts and Texans. They rank 29th for offence and 24th for defence.

The Patriots offence has struggled this season – both in the running and passing game – but Bill Belichick has once again managed to field a top defence, ranked 3rd in DVOA. With Kyler Murray averaging a diabolical 6.1 yards per attempt, it is hard to see Arizona putting up many points.

When the Patriots have the ball, it is a match up of two very bad units. However, Mac Jones has finally cleaned up his turnover issues, with no giveaways in his last four games.

New England can rely on their defence to win this one.

Same Game Multi

Patriots -2, Hunter Henry 50+ Receiving Yards
Same Game Multi

The Cardinals concede 68.4 yards per game to tight ends – the worst in the league. Hunter Henry has certainly established himself as the top tight end in the Pats offence, getting a much higher snap count than Jonnu Smith. He has cleared 50 yards in four of his last eight games.

Value Bet

Hunter Henry
To Score A Touchdown

Henry has only had the two touchdowns this season but against this defence he looks nice value to record a score.
