Monday night features a double header with the Bills hosting the Jags in Buffalo, while Washington travel to Cincinnati.
Titans @ Dolphins
The Dolphins are already on to their third starting quarterback of the season and shouldn’t be favoured against anyone, even the turnover prone Titans with Will Levis under centre.
With Tua and now Skylar Thompson injured, the Fins have turned to Tyler Huntley, fresh from the Ravens practice squad. While the Dolphins do still have elite receiving talent, their offensive line is woeful in both the run and pass game, a real concern given Huntley is prone to take sacks anyway.
Tennessee certainly don’t inspire confidence, but if the can minimize their offensive turnovers (admittedly a large if) they are well equipped to beat the Fins, even with some key defensive pieces banged up.
Seahawks @ Lions
There should be points aplenty when the Seahawks travel to Detroit for Monday Night Football.
These teams have a long history of producing points, with 68, 93 and 80 points when they have met in the last three seasons.
Seattle have an outstanding defence on paper to this point, but Jared Goff is a vastly different proposition to Bo Nix (on debut), Jacoby Brissett, and a combination of Skylar Thompson and Tim Boyle last week for the Dolphins.
Geno Smith has been terrific for Seattle, ranking in the top three for passing yards per game although his three interceptions through three games is a concern.
Nevertheless, it should be another high scoring encounter between these two NFC teams.
