The Vikings lost their unbeaten record last Sunday against the Lions and will be looking to get back on track on Thursday Night Football against the Rams.
Best Bet
Minnesota should be far too strong for a Rams side that is consistently overrated.
The Vikings are not only 5-1 head to head this season, they are 5-1 against the line. The Rams by contrast, are a pitiful 1-5, suggesting that odds makers think far too much of this team.
Certainly, despite their defeat there was no dishonour for the Vikings in their loss to the Lions, only going down off the back of a last minute field goal.
They failed to put enough pressure on quarterback Jared Goff, but they certainly aren’t the first side to have that issue this season.
Matthew Stafford on the other hand, has been the third most pressured quarterback in football behind his banged up offensive line. That, combined with injuries to Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, has cruelled the Rams offence.
Kupp returns for this one, but it’s still hard to see the Rams putting up big numbers against Brian Flores defence, which will be blitz heavy as usual.
The Vikings offence, led by Sam Darnold has continued to produce against nearly every opponent this season, and they should have enough success to cover the line in this one.
Same Game Multi
Banking on the Darnold to Jefferson combination having more success against a Rams defence that has been shredded by far worse this year.
Value Bet
The Rams have allowed ten touchdowns this season – seven of those have gone to wide receivers. With the best pass catcher in football coming to town, he’s capable of making the coveted double banger.
