NFL Tips – Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs – Week 2 2022

Justin Herbert - NFL Tips

Betseeker’s expert tipsters have you covered for the best NFL tips and predictions for every game of the NFL season.

Two of the top teams – with two of the elite quarterbacks – in the AFC meet in a much anticipated division clash on Thursday Night Football.

Best Bet

LA Chargers +4.0

The Chargers have won their last two games at Arrowhead and look an excellent play with the points in Week 2.

Yes, one of those was a meaningless Week 17 game where the Chiefs rested their starters, but in Week 3 last year at Arrowhead the Chargers showed that with Justin Herbert under centre, they are capable of matching it with the team that has dominated the division since the arrival of Patrick Mahomes.

Then, in Week 15 it was only a succession of fourth down blunders that allowed the Chiefs to force the game in Los Angeles to overtime, where Mahomes took over and three completions later, that was the game.

LA have significantly bolstered their defensive line in the offseason and those additions showed up in the season opener against Las Vegas. They sacked Derek Carr five times and kept the Raiders to just 64 yards on 13 carries, after being one of the worst run defences in the league last season.

Yes, Mahomes and the Chiefs were super impressive in Week 1 but that significantly owed to what can only be described as a brain dead defensive gameplan implemented by Arizona, blitzing him on 54% of dropbacks.

Chargers head coach Brandon Staley won’t make the same mistake, and this looks every chance of going right down to the wire.

Same Game Multi

Chargers +4, Mahomes, Herbert Passing Yards Over, Mike Williams Over 70.5 Receiving Yards

Both teams have plenty of points in them and in perfect weather, this could easily turn into a track meet with gaudy numbers being posted.

Value Bet

Travis Kelce
First Touchdown Scorer

Travis Kelce had two scores against the Chargers in Week 15 last season and with Tyreek Hill gone, his usage in the red zone should only go up. He comes off a monster game in Week 1 with 121 yards and a TD.
