Jordan Love - NFL Tips

Two of the leading teams in the NFC travel to Brazil for their season opener, with the game to be played on Saturday morning, Australia time.

Green Bay +2.5

Green Bay finished off 2023 in outstanding form and can commence this year’s campaign with a win over the Eagles.

Philly fell apart defensively over the second half of last season, losing six of their last seven games and crashing out of the playoffs with a humiliating Wild Card round loss to the Bucs.

The Eagles have had significant changes to their coaching staff over the offseason, with no move more important than bringing in veteran co-ordinator Vic Fangio.

His defence will have its work cut out against a Packers offence that was one of the best in the league in the second half of last season, only losing by a field goal to the Niners in the Divisional round.

There is good reason to think that the Packers can be fast out of the blocks this season. Matt LaFleur is 13-2 against the number in the first three weeks of the season as a head coach, while Jalen Hurts is 6-14-1 as a road/neutral favourite.

The Packers also tend to be an excellent underdog under LaFleur, being 22-10 against the number when betting outsider.

Green Bay are an excellent play with the points.

Packers -2.5, Barkley Over 65.5 Rushing Yards, Love Over 255.5 Passing Yards

Every NFL fan should be excited about the prospect of seeing Saquon Barkley finally running behind a good offensive line – except for Giants supporters.

The secondary was the main weakness of the Eagles defence last year and while they shouldn’t be as bad this year, Jordan Love has an achievable number to try and hit.

Value Bet

Josh Jacobs
First Touchdown

Josh Jacobs is the new running back on the Packers and while Jordan Love is threat with his legs, he is far less potent on the ground than Jalen Hurts. If anyone is running it in for the Packers it should be the ex-Raider.
