Those who suggested that Giants coach Brian Daboll was a likely candidate to be the first coach sacked these season saw plenty to vindicate that opinion in Week 1.
The defence – meant to be the strength of this team – gave up 400 yards to the Commanders, while Russell Wilson showed his age by going 17/37 for just 168 yards through the air.
While Dallas were ultimately beaten by the Eagles, there were some positives to take away from that loss, which could well have been a win but for some critical drops from wideout CeeDee Lamb.
The trends also point strongly to the Cowboys. They have won their last eight against the Giants, a streak that extends to 13 when Dak Prescott is healthy.
That leans heavily into two key trends with Prescott – his aptitude against divisional opponents (he is 30-12 against the spread against the NFC East) and against bad teams (he is 32-16-2 ATS against teams with losing records).
The Cowboys covered as outsiders last week, they can do so once again as favourites, and ramp up the pressure on Daboll.

Williams had 15 carries for 54 yards last week and is clearly RB1 in Dallas. A more favourable game script and a weaker defence to go up against should lead to more yards on the ground this week.
Value Bet
As alluded to in the main preview, the Giants look like a potential disaster this season so happy to play Dallas at some of the bigger numbers on offer.
