Legendary quarterback Russell Wilson returns to Seattle as a Denver Bronco on Monday Night Football. Will Russ get revenge on the franchise that discarded him?
Best Bet
Seattle are an excellent play with the points on Monday Night Football.
Yes, the quarterback mismatch is there for all to see, with Russell Wilson now on the Broncos and his replacement Geno Smith, boasting a 13-21 all time record.
However, Smith started three games for Seattle last year and while the record was 1-2, the Hawks covered the number in all three.
No doubt Wilson has the higher ceiling in time, but in Week 1, with a new team around him, not to mention an opposing coaching staff who know him intimately, the Broncos offence is unlikely to produce immediate fireworks.
Seattle also have an outstanding 16-9 record as home underdogs under head coach Pete Carroll.
The Seahawks should be able to run the ball effectively, and Carroll will be more than happy to put the ball in the hands of the uber talented, albeit often injured running back, Rashaad Penny.
Expect a tight, low scoring contest that could easily go either way.

Same Game Multi
Like Seattle to keep this one close in what should be a low scoring contest.
Once fully fit, Rashaad Penny finished 2021 in supreme form, with 671 rushing yards and six touchdowns in the last five weeks of the season. Whether he can stay off the injury list is an open question, but while he is on the field he is capable of posting incredible numbers.
Value Bet
Five of the first six in the market are Broncos. Penny looks excellent value for the first if Seattle are the team that scores first.
