The Chargers look a great bet laying less than a field goal in this one.

LA did lost their first game of the season last week against the Giants, but it felt like an aberration with penalties and turnovers being the difference.

Prior to that the Chargers has been excellent, winning all three and covering in two of those with one push, mostly off the back of their excellent defence which ranks top four for both points and yards.

The loss of left tackle Joe Alt is a concern, but the Commanders are also dealing with injuries, none more important than the knee of quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Daniels will start, but having missed last week there are question marks over whether he will be as effective as normal in a knee brace. The Commanders will also be without top receiver Terry McLaurin.

The Chargers have been a great bet as favourite with Justin Herbert as quarterback under Jim Harbaugh, going 13-4 against the number, and they can get the job done again.
