The Houston Texans are looking to build on a fabulous rookie season from signal-caller CJ Stroud and will get no better opportunity than against a Chicago Bears team led by their own rookie QB.
Best Bet
Houston opened their season with a 29-27 division win over Indianapolis while Chicago needed two second half defensive touchdowns to overcome Tennessee in what was a more than shaky start for No.1 draft pick Caleb Williams.
There is no doubt Houston will be a far tougher beat for Chicago with the Texans having a red-hot offense without the mind-boggling stupidity that Will Levis of the Titans.
This is a great spot for being against the Bears, mainly playing against rookie QBs.
Rookie QBs in their first three games are 7-16-1 ATS while rookie QBs on the road cover at 43.8%.
With the Bears on a 24-41 cover run on the road, Houston look a very tidy bet.
Same Game Multi
Joe Mixon got 30 runs and 3 touches in his Texans debut, resulting in a TD.
CJ Stroud ran four times for 13 yards and will likely be forced to scramble against the Bears D.
Tank Dell had seven targets in Week 1.
Nico Collins pulled in six catches for 117 yards in Week 1 and is clearly the alpha deep threat.
Value Bet
The Texans may not have the most sturdy defence but they can force takeaways and they get a juicy situation to grab plenty this week with a rookie QB off a shaky start on the road against them. The Texans ranked 5th last season in opposition interception percentage. They forced a pick against the Colts. This is a great bet this week.
