The NFC West routinely provides some of the best teams in the NFC and it will once again be a division to watch in 2025.

Division Winner
With Kyle Shanahan as head coach, there are two types of seasons that the 49ers have. There are the seasons where they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders, and seasons where they crash and burn due to quarterback play or injuries.
2024 was one of the latter seasons for the Niners as they fell in a heap in the second half of the season, losing 7 of their last 8 games to finish 6-11 on the season.
Shanahan can rebound though, due to a number of factors. Robert Saleh returns as defensive co-ordinator, some astute signings have helped the team get better and younger on both sides of the ball, and Christian McCaffrey is healthy and should be back to his best.
It will be a strong division though. The Rams are perennial contenders, the Seahawks should be better in Mike McDonald’s second season, while if you are a believer in Kyler Murray, the Cardinals could be big improvers too.
But the class of the division is in San Francisco and they are the ones to beat in the West once again.
Season Wins Over/Under
The Cardinals improved early in 2024, being 6-4 heading into their bye week, before they collapsed down the stretch, going 2-5 with their only wins coming over the Panthers in OT and the injury hit 49ers. They have made some excellent additions though, particularly on the defensive line. They only need one more win this year to hit their number and it looks achievable if Kyler Murray can play his best.
Player Prop
McCaffrey only appeared in four games last season as the 2023 Offensive Player of the Year battled injuries. At his best, he is dynamic as both a runner and past catcher and no coach is better at putting his best offensive weapons in position to succeed than Shanahan.
