Division Winner
The AFC East looks a race in one again with the Buffalo Bills set to claim their sixth straight divisional crowns. Buffalo have put up 10 wins in each of the last six seasons and have reached 13 wins on three occasions over that run. While questions persist over the Bills’ ability to overcome the Chiefs and put themselves into the Super Bowl, they really are under no danger of losing the divisional crown if Josh Allen stays healthy. Continuity is the key while they have upgraded at wideout with Josh Palmer.
The Patriots and Jets have changed regimes. New England made an astute hire in Mike Vrabel and he wasted no time in upgrading the roster with some splashy signings on both sides of the ball. Stefon Diggs gives Drake Maye an elite target while Carlton Davis and Robert Spillane offer class in defence. The Jets are in for a long rebuild under Aaron Glenn and are unlikely to win more than five games this year.
The Dolphins have the talent but do seem to be in a mess organisationally. There is also an over-reliance on Tua Tagioviola given his history of concussion but there has been some notable signings that make them look like a nice play to run second in the division.
Season Wins Over/Under
Miami project for nine wins this season and look a decent bet to go over their very low win total. Minkah Fitzpatrick helps upgrade the poor secondary, there has been a much-needed investment in the offensive line and Darren Waller has all the ability in the world at tight end, even if it is rarely out together.
Player Prop
Josh Allen has topped 500 rushing yards in six of his seven seasons in the NFL including his last four. While there is always talk that he will reduce his running to protect himself, it does not happen with Allen having at least 102 attempts in six straight years.
