Tasmania JackJumpers Vs. Sydney Kings (Weds 7:30pm)
Best Bet
A slow start to his 2025 campaign from a rebounding perspective, but he seems to have figured it out. Averaging 8.5 rebounds per game over his last 2 outings, Cooks looks to have found last season’s rebounding form, where he averaged 8.7 boards for the season.
Cooks and Soares have been a solid front court for the Kings but will have their work cut out for them against Tassie’s Will Magnay and Josh Bannan. Sydney averages the 3rd most RPG this season at 44 per game, whilst leading the competition for defensive boards.
An important mid table clash between these two squads with the winner likely to jump into the top four. Cooks to show team leadership and help his squad get the win in Tasmania.
Adelaide 36ers Vs. South East Phoenix (Thurs 7:30pm)
Next Best
Phoenix is coming off their second win of the season after stealing it away from the Breakers, in New Zealand. Sitting third on the ladder, they are probably exceeding most predictions from the start of the season.
Adelaide however, got an old fashion touch up by Sydney. The Kings were able to nullify the 36ers offence and held Bryce Cotton to just 7 points. I can’t see lightning striking twice here, Cotton did not win 5 NBL MVP’s by having multiple bad games in a row.
The 36ers as a whole shot poorly, only 31% for the game and a measly 16% from the arc where they are known to regularly damage opposition. The bounce back should be swift and even with the Phoenix adding import Wes Iwundu, I don’t see Nathan Sobey scoring enough to keep South East in this one.
Perth Wildcats Vs. Brisbane Bullets (Weds 9:30pm)
Value Bet
The 6’7 small forward out of Oklahoma has continued his form from last seasons playoff campaign. Averaging 12.5PPG this season which includes a game of 4 points against Cairns which is why this number is over $2.
He has cleared 15 twice already in Perth’s four game season and averaged 15.8PPG last season. Last game it was Windler and JLA who bullied Cairns, tonight against Brisbane, I expect it to be a much more even spread and Doolittle should make up for last week.
