The news has gone from bad to worse for Brisbane, as another import goes down with a season ending injury. They are struggling to even limp across the finish line for this season and they will not be keeping any record of the season they have had.

A shining light if any, is the emergence of Jacob Holt. A 9.5PPG season average has been absolutely smashed in recent games. Two of his last three games he has scored 23 or more points. He played 30+ minutes last game and there is no reason he doesn’t get another similar opportunity.

Tasmania should win, but Brisbane know that the Jackies are one of the teams they can keep up with on offence.

That’s two big ones in a row for Windler and it helped Perth grab two wins. Back-to-back games of 22 or more, with those kinds of points numbers, this is a must.

JLA has been much quieter than the beginning of the season and Windler has picked up the slack. Windler has the ability for double digit rebounds, and we have seen recent games of five assists. He will need the majority in points production, but the RAs should buy us some room.

Perth is well clear of Tassie on the ladder, but with United having a tough ask on Saturday night, a Perth win could see them leapfrog to fourth.

Cairns are trying to stay competitive and take small wins from this lost season, for McVeigh that means personal performance and rewarding the Taipan faithful.

Even though the odds for a win will start at $9, Cairns would take pride in upsetting other teams, to finish the season. Last time they met, McVeigh took 26 shot attempts to finish with 34 points. Followed up by a 40-point outing against Tasmania in a game where he didn’t sit on the bench once, he is more than capable of another 25+ here.
