Round 18 is not only Pride Round, but also could have huge implications on the Ignite Cup standings, with the undefeated New Zealand Breakers taking on the SEM Phoenix.

Melbourne United Vs. Brisbane Bullets (Wed 5:30pm)
Best Bet
Brisbane have had a horrid season, and it really has gone from bad to worse. A coaching change and a raft of injured players, there is not a lot of hope around the Bullets.
The players will remain professional I’m sure, and some will use what’s left of this season to showcase their talents and audition for next season. Taylor has the reigns at Brisbane now and we have seen solid output over his last three games. Averaging 17 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists per game, I like the overs here.
The Ignite Cup is still in full swing and with Brisbane out of the running for the NBL title, it might be something to play for.
SEM Phoenix Vs. New Zealand Breakers (Wed 7:30pm)
Next Best
Every team in the NBL wishes they had a John Brown, he does all the little things, no fuss and has no ego.
Has cleared this line in three of his last five games at an average of 7.6RPG. Huge minutes over the last two games, but we should see them closer to his average with the return of Nathan Sobey.
We saw a spike in his offence last game, but with Sobey back, I see less focus on points and more focus on rebounds.
SEM Phoenix Vs. New Zealand Breakers (Wed 7:30pm)
Value Bet
The undersized point guard has done more than hold his own in the NBL, now a regular starter and looking really comfortable, at the level.
6+ assists in three of his last five games including the massive 12 assists game, against the 36ers. He is more than capable of 6+ here against New Zealand and will have the job of defending PJC from New Zealand. That should see him stay on the floor slightly more than usual if he is doing a good job shutting down the Breakers playmaker.
With Sobey back, Ian Clark arriving and the Phoenix knocking on the door for top spot, that should be all Foxwell needs to find the dimes in this one.
