The week off for International basketball would have given most players a much needed rest, but others played gruelling minutes for their countries.

Perth Wildcats Vs. Melbourne United (Thurs 9:30pm)
Best Bet
United are still the front runners of the competition and sit atop the standings with thirteen wins and just the two loses. The roster is a great balance of depth and stars, and they don’t require heavy solo minutes on any given night.
They travel to Perth here but have an amazing 6 – 1 record when playing away from John Cain. Melbourne took care of Perth last game, played in Melbourne, by 11 points and I can’t see Perth making the changes required in a weeks’ time to overcome that deficit.
The win odds are nice enough but if you want a bit more, I would consider the line of -2.5 for $1.91.
Illawarra Hawks Vs. S.E. Melbourne Phoenix (Thurs 7:30pm)
Next Best
A massive line for Davo who was the hero for the Boomers in their international duties. He hit a game winning three pointer to break the hearts of the New Zealand Tall Blacks everywhere.
Player who didn’t get the call up will have enjoyed the break as we had no NBL games last week. Hickey at his best has cleared this line, however his season averages sit at 28 PRA.
Playing the numbers here, the Hawks have been on the skids lately and currently are on a 3-game losing streak. The Phoenix still has their doubters as seen by their $13 championship odds despite sitting third on the ladder. This should be a closely contested matchup, but I think McGee and Harvey do the damage.
Adelaide 36ers Vs. Brisbane Bullets (Fri 7:30pm)
Value Bet
The Brisbane Bullets import has returned after the mutual release six weeks ago. After dealing with a hamstring injury, Freeman-Liberty returned home to the USA.
With the Bullets sustaining a season ending injury to Casey Prather and the release of Jaylen Adams, Javon saw an opportunity to return to Brisbane and finished what he set out to do.
Two games at the start of the season with 17 and 21 points, the Bullets know what he is capable of and what he will need to provide if they are to compete for the rest of the season.
He averaged 21PPG over three seasons in the NBA G League and the 26-year-old should waste no time handling the bulk of the offence here for the Bullets.
