I thought he would have been used more sparingly against the Kings, but he has actually rewarded the 36ers at both ends of the floor. A physical presence helps deter the drivers at one end and his finishing around the ring has been above what I have to come to expect from the big man.

Averaging just under 10PPG, it’s an easy cover with the peripherals, if he can get to double figures scoring wise. Going at 6.5RPG but two games of 10 boards, he looks locked in and will be aggressive until the final siren.

It’s not because he can’t score, he is choosing not to. He is so focused on his defensive task of stopping Bryce Cotton, he is not even worrying about offence.

Nothing should change in this final game, if Sydney win it will be because Adelaide can’t keep up offensively and that heavily evolves around this matchup between two stars.

He is averaging 4.5PPG in the series and only cleared this line once. He averages only five field goal attempts per game and would need to go above 80% on those averages alone.

The Kings have done an outstanding job of preventing Cotton going off offensively and now getting the ball out of his hands. I don’t expect to see him come off unless the game is won or lost early.

Expect full denial defence again and Cotton to play with a caravan in tow, all game. He is too good and too important to the 36ers to isolate in a corner and let his teammates play. The work that Sydney are putting into him and the gravitational pull he currently has in next level. Two big passing games where Bryce is making the right reads, back-to-back 12 dimes.

There is still a focus by Adelaide to get the ball through Cotton’s hands on offence, and he looks to have realised that he doesn’t necessarily need to score, to keep the points tally ticking over.
