Best Bet
The Paycom Center was electric in Game 7 and is proving to be quite the fortress for OKC. Both teams pride themselves on defence but I think there is far to much offence for this line.
These two teams rank 1 and 2 of the remaining teams, for points against through the playoffs. OKC have been elite all season and have multiple defenders across all positions. Through the Nuggets series they still allowed Denver to average 106PPG whilst tipping in 115 themselves. The Thunder have averaged 117PPG for the playoffs and Minnesota 108PPG. I expect both teams to be great defensively, but there is just so much fire power on both sides of the floor that I see 216 as an over adjustment.
With both teams averaging above 22 free throws per game and the play styles of both superstars, there could be a lot of points scored while the clock is stopped.
Value Bet
McDaniels saw a minutes increase towards the end of the Golden State series and his play helps this Minnesota side at both ends of the floor.
The FG numbers do fluctuate a lot with Jaden and maybe that’s what the punters are worried about, when taking the unders. The Timberwolves played the Thunder three times in February, including a back to back and McDaniels was elite. He finished with 27, 30 and 37 PR and had a double double twice.
I expect to see Lu Dort smothering Ant Edwards all game, with T’Wolves offence needing to come from Randle and McDaniels. McDaniels most likely will get the job on Jalen Williams and that should mean he will be in the thick of it for a full 40+ minutes.
