NBA Tips – Wednesday, January 15 NBA Picks & Multi

Giannis has been scoring less since returning from injury, things should stay the same as they take on the flying Sacramento Kings.

Best Bet

Sacramento Kings @ Milwaukee Bucks (12:10pm)

Giannis Antetokounmpo
Under 32.5 Points

A couple of quieter games from Giannis but I don’t think his points line has reacted. He has gone under 33 in 5 of his last 6, since returning from a 4 game lay off.

He is averaging 31.4 points per game for the season, but that includes an absolute hot streak roughly a month ago where he was above 30 points consistently. He definitely has the ability to score, but in recent times seems to be more dictated by the defence and is getting less free throws. Even if he gets the free throws, its another thing for him to make them, as he goes 37% last week.

A high-level match up against Sacramento here, who are on a 7 game winning run. Giannis has a questionable tag, as he continues to battle patella tendinopathy, which may lead to a cautious approach for his minutes. Over his last 5 games he has only averaged 26.4 points, a far cry from 33.

SGM – Antetokounmpo Under 32.5 Points/ Monk 4+ Rebounds/ Fox 20+ Points = $4.20

Next Best

OKC Thunder @ Philadelphia 76ers (11:00am)

Isaiah Hartenstein
Over 3.5 Assists

The big man has been impressive since joining OKC and really fits their system. A passing big man who can run the floor with the team, helps make the Thunder so dangerous.

Hartenstein has averaged 4.2 assists so far this season and 5 over the last fortnight. He has cleared this line 7 out of his last 10 games and has even doubled it in games. With a team of scorers around him, I see him easily picking up 4 here, against an inexperienced Philadelphia frontcourt. Embiid and Drummond will miss this contest, which leaves Guerschon Yabusele at Centre. Yabusele only measures 6 foot 8, meaning Hartenstein should have plenty of court vision.

SGM – Hartenstein 4+ Assists/ George 4+ Assists/ Gilgeous–Alexander 25+ Points =$3.30

Value Bet

Denver Nuggets @ Dallas Mavericks (1:30pm)

Russell Westbrook
8+ Rebounds

Russ has turned back the clock in recent times and clearly is enjoying Aaron Gordon’s starting spot.

A triple double machine in his prime, he averaged a triple double for an entire season four times at the peak of his powers. I see great value here, even if Gordon gets some more playing time as he works back from a calf tear. Christian Braun is struggling, and Denver are turning to Westbrook, especially late in games.

He has cleared this number 4 out of his last 5 and had double digit rebounds in three of those. The safe bet is 6+ at $1.85, but you didn’t come to the value bet section to stay safe.

SGM – Westbrook 8+ Rebounds/ Jokic 30+ Points/ Lively 10+ Points = $13.50
