With Ja Morant seen on the sideline in a sling, we know that a lot of the point guard responsibilities fall to Pippen. Earlier in the season we had the same situation and he cooked, but this time around there are more personnel available, so I’m seeing unders.
Not a known scorer as such, he definitely can contribute and has averaged 10.8PPG so far this season. That increases to 13.5 over the last fortnight, which includes the handful of games Morant was restricted or missed entirely. Coming up against Phoenix, Scotty will have his hands full on the defensive end, especially if superstar Devin Booker makes his return.
Pip has cleared this line only twice in his last 15 games and both times it took him making 75% of the shots he took. He’s only averaging 10.6PPG over his last ten and with Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson in form, Memphis will need Pippen for his play making not scoring.

The Cavs are absolutely rolling and there is not enough recognition for just how good they are. Currently on a 7 game winning streak, 11-3 away and only dropping 4 games for the entire season thus far.
The Cavs are second overall for points production at 122.7 per game, that compared to the Lakers 112 PPG is enormous. LeBron is battling an illness, A.D hasn’t shaken his game time decision tag since about 2017 and now they have traded D’Angelo Russell to the Nets. Recently acquired players Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton should receive minutes in this game but they wont have much of an idea of Coach JJ Reddick’s master plan.
The Cavs on the other hand will look to continue their winning ways on a west coast road trip after taking care of Golden State yesterday. The twin towers for Cleveland played through foul trouble which restricted them below their usual standards, but Mitchell and Garland are electric and will be too much for a Lakers team that will need time to gel.

Coach Doc Rivers said he expects no minutes restriction for Giannis after a four game absence, due to an illness.
Giannis is in MVP form and he loves playing the Indiana Pacers. The pacers have a smaller front court with Myles Turner and Pascal Siakam, who will try their best to stop the Greek freak. Head coach Rick Carlisle has said they plan to put extra work into stopping Giannis cutting them apart with his relentless attack at the rim. This may mean more doubling and definitely will mean they will attempt to crowd the key.
If that is the case then we could see a big passing game from Giannis, which isn’t uncommon in recent times against Indiana, clearing this line the last 3 times he has played the Pacers. With two recent games of 9 and 10 assists in his last three, the passing form is certainly there.
