Nembhard - NBA Tips

Game 1 got chippy between the Bucks and the Pacers. Game 2 may see the return of Dame Lillard who had strong words for the Pacers, this should make for some fiery viewing.

Best Bet

Milwaukee Bucks @ Indiana Pacers (09:00am)

Andrew Nembhard
Over 18.5 PRA

Nembhard can find an extra gear for playoffs and Game 1 had him looking like the guy who gave Boston a heap of trouble in last seasons playoffs.

I expect the Bucks to bounce back in a huge way for this game. Anyone not named Giannis well underperformed and the return of Lillard couldn’t be more timely. I expect the Pacers to lean into their starters more than in Game 1. Contributing in all facets, Nembhard has become a bit of a Swiss army knife for the Pacers. He finished game 1 with 17 points, and shot well in his 29 minutes.

Across his last ten playoff games he has averaged over 26 PRA, he can contribute in multiple categories and score quickly if his outside shot is on.

SGM: Nembhard Over 18.5 PRA/ Haliburton 15+ Points/ Lopez 4+ Rebounds = $3.30

Next Best

Memphis Grizzlies @ OKC Thunder (9:30am)

Isaiah Hartenstein
Over 9.5 Points

An absolute massacre in Game 1 as the Thunder whack the Grizz by 51 points! Somewhat harder to make sense of what I liked and what I saw due to the heavily limited minutes, and subdued last quarter. OKC looked awesome and through the 2nd and 3rd quarters just unstoppable at times.

IHart was only required for 21 minutes but in that time he showed me enough. He did shoot 7/8 for 14 points which can be an unrealistic field goal percentage but what I liked was the amount of time spent around the basket. He matched up on Zach Edey who is a big lump of a rookie and the two of them spent most of the game under the baskets. Hartenstein was noticeably faster in the fast break than Edey and looks to run as soon as the rebound is secured. With so much attention going to Gilgeous- Alexander, there was 3 or 4 instances where Hartenstein was wide open under the ring for a bounce pass or easy alley oop. They missed some opportunities to feed the big fella in Game 1, but OKC can take advantage in Game 2.

SGM: Hartenstein 10+ Points/ Gilgeous-Alexander 6+ Assists/ Jackson Jnr 4+ Rebounds = $3.30

Value Bet

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Los Angeles Lakers (12:00pm)

Naz Reid
15+ Points

Game 1 went to the T’Wolves and the way they shot the basketball, they probably could have beat just about anyone. 50% from the field, 50% from the 3 and they crushed the Lakers in Crypto .com Arena.

Naz gave the Wolves the perfect option in Game 1, with the Lakers attempting a small ball lineup to try and take advantage of Rudy Gobert. Luka Doncic’s eyes light up every time he gets the defence to switch and he is left on an island with the big Frenchman.

Reid is a genuine outside threat and has made a career out of this exact game play. He shot 6 of 9 from deep and finished with 23 points. I’m not saying he will shoot that level all series but, he proved throughout the Western Conference Finals against Dallas last season, that he is a reliable scorer and the perfect counter weapon when teams are attacking Gobert.

SGM: Reid 15+ Points/ Randle 15+ Points/ McDaniels Over 4.5 Rebounds = $6.75
