With Indiana likely without their star Point Guard Tyrese Haliburton, can we see another strong performance from Andrew Nembhard?
Boston Celtics @ Indiana Pacers (10:00am)
Best Bet
I don’t think the Pacers organisation will risk Tyrese Haliburton’s future by playing him in a Game 4 where Indiana currently trails 3-0, which means we’ll see more Andrew Nembhard.
How good was the sophomore in Game 3. The Canadian finished with 32 points and 9 assists in Haliburton’s absence, and across 12 games this season that Nembhard has played without Hali, his points have increased by 48% and assists by 74%.
Nembhard has also played well against the Celtics in the two games he was provided opportunity across the regular season, scoring 14 points in 20 minutes in November, and in their most recent regular season match-up he finished with 15 points and 5 assists off the bench. Nembhard’s last five games without Haliburton has resulted in an average PA of 29, so I’ll back in the fact we won’t see Haliburton in Game 4 and take the PA line of 23.5.
Value Bet
Has been absolutely launching them from deep lately has the Boston veteran. Although he was quiet in Game 2 with one attempt, in Horford’s last four games he’s averaging 9.5 three-point attempts while shooting the ball at 42%.
Horford has had at least 12 attempts from behind the arc in three of the last four games, producing 3+ triples in those games. It appears with Indiana’s defensive attention going into others and the necessity of rim protection coming from Turner, Horford has been the beneficiary of this and continues to get open looks from ball movement.
If he has another game with 10+ attempts, the big man is making three triples from that!
SGM – Nembhard 15+ Points / Tatum 10+ Rebounds / Horford 2+ 3PM = $3.60
